About the Course

Developmental milestones are critical to account for in our ABA programming across domains, as well as in our behavior support plans. We will review developmental milestones in three main areas of functioning (language/communication, social, play). We will then explore how understanding and considering these milestones will help us to meet our learners where they are at in order to:

1) drive meaningful outcomes,
2) create fun, stimulating, and appropriate learning environments, and
3) increase our parent training success in establishing appropriate expectations for children in the home.

About Ashley Miller, BCBA: Ashley earned a bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University, Class of 2012, with a major in elementary education and a minor in special education. She has many years of ABA experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism and has been certified as a BCaBA since 2016. Ashley’s passions include applying ABA principles to classroom environments, successfully implementing ABA therapy in group settings and training and mentoring behavior technicians and RBTs.
