Katie Strathmann serves as Bierman Autism Centers’ Parent Training and Transitions Care Manager, dedicated to supporting families through every stage of their child’s journey and planning for successful transitions beyond Bierman.
With a focus on long-term success, Katie helps families prepare for the day when their child will graduate from Bierman’s therapy programs and transition to less restrictive environments, such as a typical school setting. She emphasizes the importance of early planning and collaboration to ensure smooth and confident transitions. By coordinating regular meetings every 6-12 months, Katie works closely with families to set goals, conduct readiness assessments, and create individualized action plans tailored to each child’s progress and future needs.
Katie also facilitates seamless collaboration between Bierman clinicians and the next provider to help children build the skills and independence they need to thrive in their new environment. Her approach is rooted in proactive preparation and thoughtful communication, ensuring that families feel confident and supported throughout the process.
