Personal Information

 

Bierman receives and collects the information you provide us through our Website, including information that identifies you, such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and other similar information (“Personal Information”). We also receive and/or collect information you give us in other ways, such as by searching or browsing the Website, signing up for an account or for our newsletter, or interacting with our customer service representatives. We may receive your payment card related information when you make payments to us, and we will provide it to our payment processor. We may also collect information from recognized credit agencies to assist us in preventing and detecting fraud and abuse.

 

Our Website may ask visitors who request specific information to fill out a contact information form. Other information collected through questionnaires, feedback forms, or other means enables us to determine visitors’ interests, with the goal of providing better service to our customers.

We retains all rights to these databases and the information contained in them.

 

Bierman reserves the right to share Personal Information to respond to duly authorized information requests of governmental authorities or where required by law. In exceptionally rare circumstances where national, state or company security is at issue, we reserve the right to share our entire database of visitors and customers with appropriate governmental authorities.

 

Google Analytics

 

To help us analyze how users interact with the Website, we use Google Analytics, which is a Web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. that uses cookies. Google Analytics collects information that helps us analyze how a user interacts with the Website, such as where they came from, how much time they spent on the site or a particular page, what links they clicked, duration of their visit, and their IP address. Cookies

Anyone under the age of eighteen (18) may only use our Website under the supervision, and with the permission, of their parent or guardian.  The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) governs information gathering online from or about children under the age of 13.  Verifiable consent from a child’s parent or guardian is required before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from a child under the age of 13.

 

We collect no information about you or your child when you visit our Website unless you choose to provide such information to us, other than that collected automatically or via cookies (as detailed in the previous sections regarding those subject areas).  If a child under 13 years of age inadvertently provides Personal Information via our Website, that Personal Information about the child will be deleted promptly upon discovery or notification.

In an effort to implement best practices regarding data collection and security, Bierman seeks to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (the “CCPA”).  We collect Personal Information and aggregate data for certain business and commercial purposes and share this information with the categories of third parties as described above.  Bierman does not sell (as such term is defined in the CCPA) the Personal Information we collect, and we will not sell it without providing a right to opt out.  Please note that we do use third-party cookies for our advertising purposes as further described in the Cookies section above.

 

You may request disclosure of your Personal Information we collect through the Website, and you may request information on how long Bierman stores your Personal Information.  We will verify your request using the information associated with your account, including email address.  Government identification may be required.  You can also designate an authorized agent to exercise these rights on your behalf.  Bierman will provide the first requested copy of such information for free, but we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to comply with requests that are clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive.

 

You may also request that Bierman delete all personal data that we have about you.  We will seek to honor such requests within thirty (30) to sixty (60) days.  However, we may refuse a request for access to or deletion of your Personal Information when necessary to comply with our legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

 

You may also opt-out of BIerman’s collection and use of your Personal Information.

 

We do not discriminate against consumers who exercise rights under the CCPA.
