Maeve London has been a member of Bierman’s team since 2018. She earned her undergraduate degree from Boston College and her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Sydney, Australia. Maeve has been published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, and has presented at both national and international conferences. Over the past 15 years, she has worked as a registered behavior technician, special education teacher, and occupational therapist in various settings including homes, hospitals, schools, and clinics. Maeve’s diverse career has given her a holistic understanding of the environments that our clients navigate and has developed her ability to collaborate effectively.
Maeve’s interests lie in research, dynamic therapy, and providing clinical training. Her favorite aspect of working at Bierman is the focus on play as a key to learning. She enjoys using her creativity to make each therapy session tailored to the client’s needs. Maeve employs animal-assisted therapy in her sessions with her assistance dog Freesia (who is affectionately known as Wheezy by clients and staff). In her free time, Maeve enjoys dog training, backgammon, scuba diving, reading, and traveling.
