Bierman Autism Centers is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) clinic focusing on early intervention. We design custom therapy programs for children 18 months to 9 years old to help them develop the foundational skills they need to communicate, self-advocate, and succeed on their terms. Caleb graduated from our Cranston, RI center after receiving ABA Therapy, Speech Consultations, and Occupational Therapy. When Caleb began his journey at Bierman, he wasn’t speaking. He expressed frustration by banging his head or throwing himself on the floor, and had little peer interaction. Speech was his biggest goal — and with over 850 skills acquired and 2,800+ direct therapy hours, he made remarkable progress.

While his mom was nervous at first, she says, “It’s still surreal to me, but we are in the second quarter and he is excelling.” The Bierman team even sat in on IEP meetings to support the transition. As his family shared, “Just because you graduate doesn’t mean you stop getting access to Bierman.”

Your child’s plan will be custom-designed, and every session will support skill acquisition, daily achievement, and long-term learning success. Using fun and engaging approaches, our experts will work with your child until their specific success outcomes are achieved. Most children stay with Bierman for two years before graduating.
Your child’s Autism is unique to them, so to understand it, we begin with an intensive diagnostic test using scientifically-based assessment tools administered by one of our therapists. From this, we create a custom therapy plan. We find many parents also gain a deeper understanding of their child from this assessment.
Research supports starting Autism treatment as early as possible because of the high rate of brain development between the ages of two to nine. Paired with this development, focused treatment can build a foundation for learning and behavior that follows through for the rest of your child’s life.
