A Story 20 Years in the Making

Twenty years ago, Bierman Autism Centers began with one child, one family, and one belief:

Progress is possible for every child.

What started in an apartment has grown into a community of clinicians, caregivers, and families across multiple states, all working together to create progress and possibilities®.

Pilot the Penguin was created to celebrate that journey.

Through stories, activities, and playful adventures, Pilot reminds children and families that learning happens in many different ways, and that every step forward is worth celebrating.

The Stuffed Pilot

Pilot the Penguin is a playful and comforting companion for your child. When your family joins Bierman Autism Centers, your child will receive their very own stuffed Pilot as a welcome gift—a buddy to support them on their journey of growth and discovery.

Stuffed animals like Pilot can encourage social interaction, as children use them in role-play to practice communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills.
