There are four ways to refer: the online referral form (about two minutes), fax (401-431-4546), email (start@biermanautism.com), or adding Bierman to your standing referral list. Every referral routes to the same intake team, so choose whichever path is fastest for your office.
No. If a child has not yet been diagnosed, our team supports families through a diagnostic evaluation. A confirmed diagnosis speeds up insurance authorization, but it is not required to start a referral.
Include the referring provider’s contact information and, when available, a confirmed ASD diagnosis with diagnostic code F84.00, results from at least one autism diagnostic tool (ADOS-2, CARS-2, GARS, or ADI-R), assessment scores for each domain tested, and any co-occurring conditions. A complete diagnostic report helps prevent authorization delays.
Bierman provides early intervention ABA therapy for children ages 18 months to 9 years, along with speech therapy, occupational therapy, and autism diagnostic evaluations at select locations.
Bierman is in network with most major insurance providers, with coverage varying by state. Our team completes a complimentary benefits check for every family after a referral is received.
