Focused Therapy is Available in Rhode Island

Most children who come to Bierman benefit from our Comprehensive Therapy, a full-scope ABA program that addresses a broad range of developmental skills. For some children, a more targeted plan is the better fit.

Focused Therapy is a goal-specific approach to ABA. It’s built around a narrower set of priorities: a particular skill to build, a behavior to address, or a transition to support. It’s delivered by the same BCBA-led clinical team, with the same individualized planning as our Comprehensive programs. The difference is scope. A focused plan targets a specific set of objectives with fewer weekly hours.

Focused Therapy may be a good fit when:

  • Your child has specific, well-defined goals rather than broad developmental needs
  • Your child has made meaningful progress in comprehensive ABA and is ready for a narrower focus
  •  A particular skill, behavior, or transition is the primary clinical priority
  • Your family’s schedule or circumstances call for a more limited weekly commitment

Focused Therapy is available in Cranston, East Bay, Lincoln, and Warwick as part of our standard care continuum. Comprehensive Therapy remains our most common recommendation, and our intake team works with every family to figure out the right fit.
